TIAW Honoree Dennie Theodore

The most valuable assets in business – as in life – are the people we meet, the relationships we nurture, and the opportunities for growth they provide us. This is something that Dennie Theodore understands quite well, as her ongoing efforts in bringing people together in both professional and personal setting can attest. Dennie calls on both the masculine drive and the feminine energy of cooperation and connectedness to help build mutually beneficial relationships that will last a lifetime. Since early 2008, Dennie has helmed Similar Circles, a blog that provides mentoring advice, networking opportunities, and guidance toward helping her readers build a personal community in their own careers. It is her belief that connections support professional growth, and professional growth supports personal communities. These connections include authors and publishers, speakers and audiences, and various other professionals and valuable contacts. She even hosts a number of informal coffee and tea get-togethers to promote a healthy relationships outside of the context of business; the line between business partner and friend fades when the spirit of cooperation is embraced.

Dennie is a women who uses her energy to cultivate opportunity and open doors to those who are limited only by who they know. I'm proud to honor and support such a positive spirit.
