Featured TIAW Honoree: Marylouise Uhlig

I've often spoken about the unbalanced Gender Physics of the workplace, and how the business world still suffers from an overabundance of masculine energy. While an increasing number of women are entering the workforce, they are all too often expected to assimilate into the culture of masculine energy rather than bring their own unique energy to the table. It's for this reason that Marylouise Uhlig's efforts over the years to help women grow and succeed has been so invaluable, and so deserving of this recognition.
 
In her time as an Associate Assistant Administrator with the US Environmental Protection Agency, and as a board member of the Senior Executive Association, Marylouise has overcome countless hurtles without ever taking "the easy route" and trading in her core values for what's expected of her. In Marylouise I see the sixth Stilletto Step in action: she has celebrated her own unique attributes by holding firm to her feminine energy, while conjuring the masculine drive where needed. Her achievements speak to the viability of good Gender Physics, and she continues to celebrate her gender through the multitude of programs she has set up to help recognize and promote successful women in business. Her time spent as President of Federally Employed Women, and now as TIAW Director at Large, has been monumental in investing in the professional women of the future. 

By holding true to herself and calling upon the feminine energy of cooperation, Marylouise Uhlig has used her success to help others make their dreams a reality. That's something worth celebrating!
